Title: An overview of kinetic data structures Jie Gao Center for the Mathematics of Information California Institute of Technology In these two talks I will give an overview on kinetic data structure (KDS), which is a framework for designing efficient algorithms on moving objects. The first talk will focus on the basic methodology of KDS mechanism and ways to evaluate the performance of a kinetic data structure. In the second talk I will show the detailed construction and analysis of a kinetic spanner and its applications.
