[Dec 8] All solution sets for the labs have been posted. I remind you that you can only look at them if you have submitted your final versions of all labs.
[Dec 6] The final has been posted! Follow the link from the final cover sheet below to get to it. Good luck, everybody!
[Dec 6] I've updated the final exam cover sheet in response to some student questions. The upshot of it is that I'm allowing you to use a few more references than I previously stated you could use. Please read the cover sheet carefully, and remember that you don't want to spend a large amount of time while you're writing the final scouring through references!
[Dec 5] The cover sheet for the final exam is ready and has been posted here. Note that the final itself hasn't been posted yet, so following the link will not be useful. We'll let you know when the final is posted (sometime tomorrow).
[Dec 5] Joseph Schaeffer did the CS 1 final review lecture with his usual aplomb, and the slides are here. You're allowed to consult them while you write the final exam. If there's anything on the slides you don't yet understand, make sure you do understand it before you take the final.
[Nov 29] Lab 9 has been posted, again late (sorry). I'm giving you until this coming Saturday to complete it, which hopefully will make up for the late posting.
[Nov 17] Lab 8 has just been posted, not late this time. It's due on Thursday, November 27th, which is technically Thanksgiving, so realistically most of you will want to do it before then. Because of this, I've made the lab a bit shorter than usual, but I recommend that you don't leave it to the last minute.
[Nov 13] Lab 7 has just been posted, again late, and again I'm giving you until Friday 6 PM to complete it. This lab contains a lot of drawing, so you'll need to spend some time getting used to a drawing program like Xfig or Dia in order to complete it.
[Nov 11] For those of you who attend Donnie's recitation section (and even for those of you who don't), Donnie has graciously put up his recitation slides on his web page. You can find them here.
[Nov 11] Your graded midterms can be picked up from Maria Lopez in room 278 of the Jorgensen building. Each section was scored out of 15, so the total mark would be out of 60 (though we didn't write the total mark on the midterm); divide that by 10 to get your actual midterm grade out of 6.0. All your midterm grades have been posted to CS1man.
[Nov 11] The midterm solution set has been posted here. If you got less than a perfect score (and nobody got a perfect score ;-)) you should review it to make sure that you understand all of this material.
[Nov 11] The environment model "cheat sheet" is located here. You should read through this to get more familiar with the model, including some subtle cases we won't discuss much in class. There are useful rules of thumb and a bunch of examples with diagrams, so hopefully it won't be too boring.
